Anne-Marie’s career revolves around post-harvest fresh produce management and food safety.

She has worked across the entire fresh produce supply chain from grower to retailer. Sha as a deep understanding of the challenges facing the wider industry from a commercial perspective.

She is the New Zealand member of the International Federation of Produce Standards (IFPS). She so represents United Fresh on New Zealand Food safety and Science Centre (NZFRSSC) industry committee and chairs the Horticulture Advisory group.

Anne-Marie serves as the Food Safety representative for United Fresh, New Zealand’s pan-sector peak industry body. In that capacity she works to address whole of industry issues.

Recent work has been in Traceability, a Food Safety Risk Ranking Project looking at Food Safety risks in the New Zealand Fresh Produce industry and issues around returnable plastic crates as a potential route for pathogen transmission.

Current work involves horizon scanning of emerging risks as well as the potential food safety risks associated with the use of recycled packaging materials in the horticultural industry.
